BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

We noticed a dip in our sales numbers that we were unsure about. Thanks to our reporting with Horizons, we were able to exactly pinpoint where the issue was and rectify it.

Why is Business Intelligence important?

The power of data is often underestimated. It holds an abundance of information about your business and knowing how to properly utilise it can be the difference between a trend of growth and success or trends of stagnation or decline.

Yes, everyone can get those big, headline numbers that you want to see but they often don't tell the full story. Where you truly get meaningful insights out of your data is when you dive deeper into the numerous permutations and combinations that can be explored; and there are many! Maximising it's potential can help unlock yours. After all, if it's there,
use it.

We will work
with you, as a team, to analyse your data and identify how that information can be extracted and translated into metrics that highlight key areas of success as well as expose issues that require attention.

It is not just
what the data tells you, but how it looks too. Ensuring reports are visually pleasing and easy to understand isn't forgotten. We take pride in our design flair and our ability to adapt and personalise reports so that we present you with a high-quality product that is uniquely yours.

What process do we follow?

1

Report Design

Let's work right to left and establish your requirements first. Ultimately, what information would you like your report to provide you with? This is the time to ask questions, brainstorm ideas, maybe even challenge one another. Whilst metrics can be changed or evolved further in the process, this is the foundation of the reporting and therefore, there needs to be a shared understanding of what is to be delivered so expectations can be met.

2

Data Sources and Validation

Now comes the crucial bit: data validation. This is where we determine how and where we are getting the data from, and the long bit... cleaning up that dirty data! We know, it's tedious, but data cleansing is so important and can often in itself be eye-opening to where things might not be functioning 100% correctly in your business. Think of this stage as short-term pain for long-term gain.

3

Report Building

Next up, turning those ideas into visuals. We combine your requirements and our design flair to create Power BI slides that are clear, engaging, and attractive. Once we are sure everything is working as it should, we share it with you. Seeing reports come to life at this stage commonly triggers new thoughts and ideas. More often than not, we spend even more time here adapting or designing additional visuals until you are happy with your product.

4

Repeatable Delivery

The final step is consistent delivery. How often do you get your reports and how do you access them? This is totally up to you. It can be weekly, monthly, or even live. We will work together to decide what would be most beneficial for you and develop a process and understanding of how and when we retrieve your data and create any connections that may be necessary to do that.
